UNCSA Symphony Orchestra “Pictures at an Exhibition”

Baron’s last UNCSA symphony performance. He started highschool at UNCSA in 2019 and this concert will conclude the large ensemble work he will do with the university.

Pictures and Description from UNCSA Website:

One of the best-known works in the orchestral repertoire, Mussorgsky's "Pictures at an Exhibition," arranged by Ravel, is a musical tribute to the memory of Mussorgsky’s friend, Viktor Hartmann, an artist. Hartmann’s works provided Mussorgsky with a wide array of inspirations. Full of character, color and expression, Ravel’s orchestral arrangement of Mussorsgky’s original piano work shows off the prowess of the entire orchestra. The concert will also feature a world premiere by faculty composer Lawrence Dillon.
